Dr Barbara Salonikidou attended the 4th Workshop on Neuroengineering: brain-on-a-chip platforms at Instituto de Investigação e Inovação em Saúde, Universidade do Porto.
The 2-day workshop focused on bioengineering and artificial synapses for neuromorphic applications. The workshop stimulated interesting discussions on how neuromorphic devices can be used for neuromodulation for application in therapeutics and implantable devices.
