We were honoured to host Prof Yildiz at the Goldmisth Seminar series. She presented her and her group's outstanding work on exsolution for energy conversion applications. Their work investigates the role of oxygen vacancies, enabling to controllably tune size, density, composition and position of the exsolved metal nanoparticles. These findings can guide the design of exsolution electrocatalysts to advance the performance and durability of solid oxide electrochemical cells.
