9/6/23: Judith was very happy to connect Trinity College’s Librarian Dr Nicolas Bell with Joanna Symonowic in Dr Giuliana Di Martino’s group to do Raman microscopy to identify the jewel used on an an ancient book in the Trinity library. It is the Book of Hours and is now believed to have belonged to Thomas Cromwell, Chief Minister to King Henry VIII. Joanna identified the jewel as a grossular garnet. Well done Joanna!
