Hosted in the magnificent Armourers’ Hall, with its vaulted ceilings, suits of armour and weapons lining the walls, and centuries of history, the venue provided a spectacular backdrop for a day that brought together the brightest minds in neuromorphic computing technologies.
The event opened with a warm welcome from Adnan Mehonic (UCL, Intrinsic Semiconductor), followed by a commanding keynote from Tamalika Banerjee. Throughout the day, attendees were treated to a powerhouse line‑up of talks from:
- Andre van Schaik (University of Manchester)
- Tanya Mangoma (HyperCIM)
- Ronald Tetzlaff (TU Dresden)
- Bruno Jansen (imec)
- Ben Jones (Intrinsic)
- Phil Burr (Lumai)
The afternoon concluded with a dynamic industry panel, offering rare insight into the technological roadmaps shaping the future of unconventional computing.
Survey feedback from participants was overwhelmingly enthusiastic. Attendees spoke of exceptional presentations, energising conversations, and new collaborations sparked on the spot. Many commented that the meeting delivered some of the most valuable networking they’ve experienced in the field, with discussions already translating into joint funding ideas, PhD project planning, and industry–academic partnerships. Early Career Researchers enjoyed particularly strong engagement, taking advantage of direct access to senior researchers, industry innovators, and potential future collaborators.
With its outstanding content, vibrant atmosphere, and the unforgettable setting of Armourers’ Hall, this year’s meeting has set a new benchmark for the NeuMat community. Momentum is building and we’re excited for what comes next.
