Driscoll Research Group

As a materials scientist, my research spans from fundamental material studies to industrial applications. In response to the demands of the data-driven era, I focus on developing neuromorphic computing AI hardware devices. My current work includes: (1) the design of a robust, uniform memristor using self-assembled silicon oxide to mimic artificial spiking neurons, and (2) proton-based electrochemical ionic synapses for programmable resistors in crossbar arrays.
