Group celebrates the Coronation at Trinity College
6 May: Many group members were very happy to celebrate King Charles III’s coronation together. We met at Trinity College and toasted the King with champagne, a new special Trinity College Coronation pie and ice cream.

Judith visits Prof. Hoye in Oxford Inorganic Chemical lab
It was great to visit Prof. Robert Hoye, a new academic in Oxford Inorganic Chemical lab, and former PhD student in our group. His labs are looking amazing, and his group is already being highly productive. We discussed our ongoing collaborations on BiOI and spatial ALD, among other things.

Yuri Jeon joins the group as visiting PhD student from DGIST in South Korea
Yuri Jeon has joined the group as visiting student. She is a PhD student in DGIST in South Korea, with Prof Shinbuhm Lee, and will be carrying out research into thin films materials for functional device applications.

Babak receives 2023 Outstanding Reviewer Award
Babak received the 2023 Outstanding Reviewer award for excellence in reviewing throughout the calendar year of 2022 from Acta Journals. These awards are annually selected by the Editors of Acta Materialia, Scripta Materialia, Acta Biomaterialia and Materialia, where each recipient receives a certificate and is offered an honorarium.
