Nives and Markus attended the EMA23 conference in Orlando, Florida, and both gave invited talks. Nives presented memory cells based on Schottky-to-Ohmic interface transitions due to ferroelectric switching, and Markus presented ways how to make resistive switching more reliable by confining the switching processes to certain areas in a thin film.

They also met our US collaborators Hongyi (Purdue), Aiping, and Sundar (both Los Alamos National Lab) who also gave talks.
