Ji Soo Kim and Dr Markus Hellenbrand presented their work on ferroelectric hafnium oxide and resistive switching, respectively, at the MRS Spring Meeting 2024 in Seattle. Dr. Markus Hellenbrand was an invited speaker and featured as an MRS Communications Early Career Distinguished Presenter!

The group welcomes Dr Heebeom Ahn, a visiting postdoc from Seoul National University, from April to end Dec, 2024. Heebeom is working on neuromorphic devices as part of the Brain-link program between Seoul National University and Cambridge.

The group welcomes Heebeom as visiting Postdoc. He received his PhD from Seoul National University. He will focus on neuromorphic applications of functional oxides and halide perovskites. 

Dr Yi-Xuan, who received a PhD from Tsinghua University, has joined the Driscoll group as a visiting postdoc. He will work on development and discovery of novel ferroelectric memristor systems, with a focus on thin film by PLD fabrication and advanced characterizations.

Dr Matthew Wells presented his work on Vertically Aligned Nanocomposite thin films as electrode materials for solid oxide cells at the Power of interfaces 2024 conference as part of the EPISTORE project framework. Babak has been using our fancy oxide sputter chamber (from the RAENG Chair in Emerging Technologies project) to grow high performance resistive switching materials on TiN on Si.
